FSQ-106N on an EM-11 ... black box to tripod leg attached with velco tape. wire slack wrapped around legs. the black box is velco taped to the tripod leg for easy attachment/removal. box holds the guts from a 12v->24v power converter (from ccdastro.com) and has 12v power feed and serial port on bottom and 2 wires from top going to mount control box ... 24v power and serial cable. serial port on bottom is powered so you just plug in the Socket Bluetooth Serial Adapter, or a direct connect serial cable. Socket Bluetooth Serial Adapter plugged into serial port with NO external power connection. very clean...less wires. power is supplied on unused serial pin so computer cable can replace adapter for direct connection. wire you see in background is slack from 12v battery feed wrapped around leg.
